Legends Arceus Spoilers!!!

[Abandonment seemed to be the word of the week, as far as Volo's life was going. Abandoning the Ginkgo Guild (not that he had bothered to do it officially, but they'll figure that out sooner or later), abandoned by Arceus, abandoned by Giratina. Nothing he had worked hard to build in his attempt to draw Arceus out from hiding had worked in his favor, thwarted by none other than Arceus's true chosen favorite. And after he had worked so hard to make himself indispensable to and close to them. Perhaps they were another tally in the abandonment count.

But as far as Volo himself is concerned, the one thing in his life, the one constant that he will never abandon and will never abandon him is his goal to meet Arceus itself. Arceus may have no interest in him, but that's beside the point. He'll make Arceus walk back its disapproval no matter how long it takes him. Who cares if it's essentially back to the drawing board, without the assistance of even Giratina? There's bound to be another way, something he hasn't figured out yet, some way to get what he needs.

It was back to the ruins for Volo. They provided answers before, they'll provide them again. The Celestica people were closer to Arceus than the people today were, there had to be some other path. (Not to mention the inherent comfort in being among the ruins, but that's a subject for later)

The change in atmosphere was almost imperceptible--a quick flash of light, a burst of wind, and silence. The ruins themselves haven't changed, but something else? Something else has definitely changed.

Perhaps, he thought with a smirk, he hadn't been entirely abandoned after all.]

Is this your doing? A new challenge, then?

[or revenge, perhaps; Giratina wasn't too pleased with him, if he were the one responsible. Just as likely as Arceus, given what Volo knows full well he is capable of.

Whatever the case--revenge, a new path, an attempt to remove him from the board--Volo knows what this really is: an opportunity.]
